Beta Reading:
I will send you a detailed report on plot, characterization, pacing, style, setting and word building, etc.
And depending on the word count I'll tell you the turnaround time. I'm generally a fast reader so I'd say my standard time would be around 7 to 10 days
I normally follow a certain Beta reader format but if you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to put them up so I can answer them too. And if you want me to use your format, I'd be glad to help you out with that.
Constructive Editing:
I will take up your manuscript and thoroughly check for and edit all grammatical, clerical, and typographical errors. I will also provide a bit of constructive criticism on how certain elements of a particular scene could be put in better words. You don't have to change anything if you don't want to, but it's the job of an editor to polish and make the manuscript publish-ready.
My standard time for editing a 300 page novel is 1 to 2 months if I'm free but it might take up to 3 months if my schedule gets busy

Riya provided beta reading services for my first book and was very thorough. She provided a formatted report at the end which answered a variety of questions regarding plot, flow, characters, etc. It helped me see some issues in my book that were keeping it from being the best it could be. ReplyDeleteI must admit since this is my first novel, I have agonized in searching for beta readers to critique my 83,500 word manuscript. My first beat reader gave me minimal feedback, which left me frustrated and disappointed. I found Riya’s name on the internet and hired her services. Wow! More than I expected!
